Hello, I'm Kevin! I'm a graphic designer in Northwest Arkansas with a love for art, a passion for people, and an excitement for new adventures.
My love for art and design began at a young age. Growing up in North Texas, I pursued classes in every type of art—drawing, painting, photography, graphic design, animation—you name it! In college, I decided to apply those skills practically and graduated from John Brown University in 2018 with degrees in Graphic Design and Business Administration.
During my time at JBU, I had a wide range of responsibilities and internships. I spent two years at DaySpring Cards building sample products for potential buyers, learning about company structures, creating art, and improving internal documentation. I spent a summer in JBU's marketing department designing for various university organizations. I spent two years as the Communications Director for JBU Events, producing any creative materials needed to encourage student attendance.
My first year out of school, I worked at Big Deal Marketing as the lead Graphic Designer. There I learned about small businesses, working with diverse clients, and producing quality work at a moment's notice. After that, I spent a few years at B-Unlimited as a Graphic Artist and Art Lead. There, I created custom screen print designs and grew immensely working alongside 25 of Northwest Arkansas' greatest artists and designers. As an art lead, I trained, critiqued,  and built up my design team, and I provided ample documentation of design team processes and workflow.
In 2022, I spent most of my time at AcreTrader, a fast-growing farmland investment start up. There I was able to dip my toes into the worlds of investing and AgTech, build and unify a formerly sprawling brand identity, and provide team structure and organization where it was lacking.
Outside of work, I love to enjoy Northwest Arkansas' rivers and trails with my two dogs, Copper and Penguin (AKA Penny). I find that my favorite creative outlets include home projects, gardening, making my own pastas, and planning trips to new locations!
I believe that good design is beautiful, intriguing, fresh, but most importantly, an effective form of communication. Ideas conveyed with careful thought and presentation are far more effective, and that is what I strive to accomplish in my work.
